Hi, I'm a writer and journalist focusing on gender, education, health, labour and their intersections. I am currently working with questions of structural and gendered inequalities in the spheres of education and health, through narrative storytelling that goes beyond immediate news developments.

While I am based in Delhi, my work takes me across North India. Alongside narrative and news writing, I have worked on photo essays and video stories, and am currently engaging with new formats and methods of storytelling. Over the past seven years, I've reported for The Hindu, The Quint, The Indian Express, and my work has also appeared in People's Archive of Rural India (PARI) and Waging Nonviolence. 

Awards and Fellowships:

- Laadli Media (2025) award for gender sensitivity for a story on the neglect faced by transgender residents of govt funded shelter homes under the News category, northern region

- Worked on a collaborative series 'Girls out of school' - WanIfra 2022 awards under the category 'Best special project for COVID 19/Pandemic Reporting'

- Series on trafficking of minor girls from Jharkhand to Delhi on the pretext of work - Best series by Afaqs! Digipub Awards, 2023

- Longlist: Was longlisted for the Kamla Makekar Award for Journalism on Gender, 2025

- Completed the Laadli Media Fellowship, 2025, which focused on digital violence against women and girls. funded by Laadli and UNFPA

- Currently working on a graphic/illustrated narrative writing fellowship under the project Once Upon a Time: Retelling Women's Histories by Zubaan and the Parag Initiative of Tata Trusts
